In 2025, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I lost strength on one side of my body and experienced vision problems, vertigo, brain fog, and difficulty with balance. Through occupational and physical therapy, I was able to regain my strength and adjust to a new normal.
As part of my treatment, I began receiving Ocrevus infusions. From start to finish, my infusion days could last around six hours. The medication often made me cold, so naturally, I wanted to wear a comfortable sweatshirt. But with an IV in my arm, wearing one wasn't always easy. Finding clothing that felt like something I would normally choose to wear while still allowing convenient access for treatment was important.
As I shared my experience with friends, I learned that families were also looking for more functional clothing options for their children.
That is where Hattie & Thomas began.
We create thoughtfully designed clothing for kids who want to look and feel like kids—even on treatment days. Our pieces are designed to provide easier access to ports and IVs without constantly removing clothing, pulling sleeves, or tugging fabric out of the way.
Hattie & Thomas is clothing made for childhood.
